CLARIAS (albino)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I miss mine :(
They average about 18" in aquariums, but can get 2' Mine was very active. Some people have said that they've had aggression issues with these guys, but mine was fine with large Cichlids and another big Cat. Never had a problem with it trying to escape, but keep a lid on it. Eats like there's no tomorrow.

My albino is approximately 1 foot long... what happened to yours? How did it die?

I moved my 75g from my old room to the living room. Half my stock died for some unknown reason (might've been the tub that I kept them all in) and the Clarias and Jag were the only ones left. When I moved them back into the tank, I guess the Jag decided that he wanted the tank to himself at that point:irked:

Yeah...it was one of the best Cats I've ever had
How about getting another one? :) I recently realised my dream of getting one of each type: black (normal), albino and pielbald :)

Funny thing...I'm...not...really...allowed...to...have...one...in...the US.

So, how big is your tank? And what do you have as filtration?[/quote]

thay will be going into a 5x2x2 at first with x2 fl 404 ext filters.
i am moving house at the end of august and i was going to put them in a 7ft in diam around 2.5 ft deep free standing pond BUT my problem is no lid/hood :nilly::nilly::nilly: , i will have to rethink that plan.

it would prob be better to move first then get the fish but i dont often see them for sale in the shops around here and i would not like to miss out on them!!

the fish size is 4-5 cm

Would you be able to use some kind of net to cover the pond?
