I'm lucky to have two of these beauties at about 16-18".
As some of the folk on here have already stated they eat EVERYTHING!
Mine get all manner of pellets, floating & sinking, prawns, cockles, earthworms, squid, Whitefish etc.
They are eating machines & yes they grow super super fast!
Beware though that when they are bigger they will take the scales & fins of tankmates if they become hungry enough.
They are also quite nippy in that if they dont have enough room they'll nip the fins constantly of fish near them.
