ok heres mine which died because of the wounds you can see
he was 10"+ and had a few injuries when i got him and then was there in my tub for 7 days before he went to a better place

There is no gravel it is a specific vat naked for him. I still seek information on his biotope if you had some I am taking .

He will do fine without gravel. HE looks GREAT!

Ouch, those are some nasty puncture wounds! Any idea who caused it? Jardini?

the lfs had received the fish back as the cat grew too fast for the previous owner and the fellow couldn't handle it
the lfs kept it in a small tank and was catching it in a net everytime someone in his shop wanted to look at the cat and thus it got a couple of those puncture wounds
i brought it home and kept it with my jar though he was curious about the cat didn't do much damage but the cat got skittish and went ramming around the tank and had a bloody mouth bu the morning and was shifted to a 6'x2'x1' tub
but it didn't last long
