Super fish, nice one.
I'm the proud owner of one too.
Mines about 18", maybe 20"
Like you say not aggressive feeders, virtually everything else gets there before him/her.
Mine loves mascivore too as well as defrosted Prawns & sinking pellets.
Will also take pices of white fish :)

C.Laticeps.jpgHere's a picture of mine taken about 3 yrs ago when he/she was about 8" Long.
Was about 5 " in size when I got him.

Id had one previously for about 2 - 3 yrs but lost a whole Pond of Fish.
Literally within days I walked into my local LFS & they had one so took him/her straight away.
Great fish :)
