Finally started putting my Dads tank 'together'. The rift sand came in, so put that in there a day ago. It had finally stopped being cloudy when I took this picture.

This is after I added all 148lbs of 'slate'. Took me quite a while to get it situated properly so it wouldn't shift when bumped or anything. Have larger brace rocks on the bottom that make a great base though, so not horribly worried.

Unfortunately putting the rocks in there and moving the sand so they could rest on the glass stirred up the dust again, so it was quite cloudy. Had to do most of it 'blind' cuz I couldn't see what I was doing.

Thoughts? Anything I should do differently?

Oh nice, can't wait to see how this looks fully stocked and not cloudy.

Its not cloudy any more, but it'll be a few days before the pictures are taken again.

I was thinking about that, just don't know what plants to put in there. Would like to do live, but unfortunately, plastic sounds more ideal.

Not sure sir. I'm thinking Tangs or Mbuna. Can't really decide.

How do you sex Neolamprologus? I've had several suggestions to have a pair of Neolamprologus cylindricus or leleupi, but I have no idea how to sex them.

Would I be able to have cylindricus AND leleupi in the same tank? That would be awesome, along with some shellies and maybe some Cyprichromis if they would work. Not sure on the Cyprichromis though, they seem to need more room I'd think.

Sub, as in subscribed. This site baffles me sometimes.
