I often handfeed my plecos, so its easy as just putting my hand in, and they swim right into it.

I used to have a redtail catfish that loved me. I'd stick my hand in there, and it would swim back and forth, rubbing against my hand/arm.

I catch my fishes like them rodeo calf ropem up and tie ups.

I was told today that they are producing so much waste because they are eating my bog wood ( apparently this is to aid digestion ) but im no expert.

I was told to get a bulldog plec anyone got one of these ?

imho if you want a bottom dweller to eat up extra food a syno cat would likely make a nice compliment to your tank.. though tbh I haven't seen a bichir yet that won't eat all the food in the tank available.. I garee common plecos will make a tank disgusting if you don't syphon alot. To catch larger ones I use a cotton towel... can take a few minutes but less likely to hurt you or the fish, being mindful as always of the spikes.

the syno cat will suck the slime coat off of your bichir until it is no more.

get a nice pack of clown loaches

pictus cats are another, much cheaper option
