Cleaned My Pothos

So I finally got around to clearing all the pothos out of the top of my tank. It was all growing like crazy in the ac110. srry formatting messed up and it posted before i was done:



Here is the 90 after everything was settled:

Tossed one in the 20 too.

Anyway here is what i was going to post:

So I finally got around to clearing all the pothos and mint out of the top of my tank. It was all growing like crazy in the ac110.

The roots were pushing the media up!

Cleaned all this crap, luckily the impeller wasn't effected by those roots at all.

Tossed all the media in the trash, stuff was nasty and old anyway.

Cleaned the rest of everything, I had just cleaned my shower yesterday too... UGH.

Here is the 90 after everything was settled. I set up the other cheapo hob filter I received as a trade last weekend and added the bigger stuff in there:

Better to plant on the aft side of impeller. You can also soak sponge in diluted bleach solution, they seem to last forever.

I think I will just get a new spongy at the lfs. That thing was so old it's not worth it to mess up my sink haha.

Luckily some of the mint leaves covered up the stank.

If you can ever find the old school AC sponges, I think they are great quality. The newer ones not as much.

Yeah I would say the one in there was 5 years old at least.
