Prochilodus are amazingly good, I have one that cleans algae off of plants without harming any of the plant.

Get some Malaysian Trumpet snails too.

i would cat a pleco or maybe even a few chinese algeas eaters if your tank is not that large. They both do great jobs, but i would avoid snails i had snails before and they can reproduce out of control

Lots of plecos won't eat algae and are true catfish and prefer meaty foods and waffers. Chinese algae eaters are suckermouth algae eaters that will clean the tank nicely.

Agreed. And beware the kind of pleco if you do try to go that route. Many common varieties get way too large for many tanks.

magnetic cleaner plecos? just cleans d dirty spot you wanted.

if you go for a pleco to eat algea be sure to look it up, as there are more that dont, and also they tend to get very big
