  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
from what ive read and everything air stones dont do anything in salt water..................my tank is a 75 with and i only have 2 small fish in it and some hermit crabs and snails so it seems like there should be plenty of oxygen

Did you do a WC? Add carbon to your filter too. Maybe some toxins got in there somehow.

i did a wc......i just put new carbon in..............the only thing that changed is i got a RO unit and started using that instead of buying water

Do you have a lot ofhair algae? You know this can deplete the water of its actions in quite rapidly and suffocate your fish.

That's absolutely not true....

Put the bubble stone below your powerhead so your powerhead will suck the bubbles in and diffuse them into the water.

One powerhead might not be enough. How many gph is it?

Also agree with the hair algae thing.

Get another powerhead. I have a 75 gallon with 4 powerheads and a protein skimmer. The skimmer helps with oxygen. The reason cleaner wrass are so difficult to maintain is that they get most of their nutrients from the parasites and other things off of other fish. Once they have cleaned all the fish in your tank they usually starve to death. Because even though they are eating fish food they are not getting what they need to stay healthy.

i dont have any hair algae............the cleaner wrasse died and i returned it because my water tested good..........im gonna get a better circulation pump im thinking a rio 600 are those good? and i dont have an airstone to put in so thats a non issue really........my tomato clown seems to be doing better though so ill just see how it goes.........maybe something just got into the water on accident
