anyone have any idea about doing this? and im in a basement so siphoning is pretty much outa the question

you can siphon its a pain in the ass though if you have a gravel vac kind of siphon just put the entire head and hosing in so all the air is out and water is in put you finger on the end of the hose put it in the bucket and voila gravity does its work slowly but steadily so you can siphon water pressure isnt as much however, do that and you should be fine

no the actual tank is on the floor and im in the very basement .

try to syphon it by sticking it fully in and capping finger over end and begin syponing it should be ok

How big is the tank?

Thought this one out well didn't ya... (been there, done that :D)

Get a pond pump (1200gph-1500gph) and hook hoses to both in & out, set the pump in the tank, hook your gravel vac end piece on it, prime and go to work on it. Works fine for me.

Dr. Joe said it all!

My tanks in the basement are not on the floor, but I still take my python to the sump pump for the house--- which is lower than the cement floor. If you got one, check it out as an option.
