for algae the best you can get are olive nerite snails (neritina reclivata) they are amazing, i have a tank near a window (only space available) and always have a terrible algae problem, but after intoducing these little critters the glass looks just like my polys used windex inside

if its a just that you should get some clean up crew. i find it corys, clown loaches, and synodontis do the good. im sure there are other fish too but thats the only fish i can think of right now
