i use to throw mine in a pillowcase and then toss them in the laundry...

the dishwasher works GREAT! you just load the plants in the top rack (with no dishes obviously lol) and let it go through its initial cycle.. DO NOT let them dry in there! they will melt. just pull them out and let them air dry... i do it all the time.
