I didn't mean ignorant in a bad way, but as a not knowing way. I am ignorant about a LOT of things. As far as pH shift, totally depends on the fish. Some will have no issue with that, others may not appreciate it and become stressed.

I honestly have no idea how your fish are going to react to a shift in pH or TDS. You might have to do a little experimenting and watch for signs of stress, then go from there.
