cleaning glass?

We picked up a older tank. Only a few scatchs. Problem is there is water marks on outside of tank I can't get off. Looks like water dripped down side and got left. Well I've tried glass cleaners and bathtub scumm cleaners and can't get it off. Any Ideas? As far as I know it has only been used for fresswater. Can I buff the glass? Oh and this tank is up and running and stucked.

try vinegar....... water marks are normally calcified water, and vinegar is acidic. Give it a try!!

try vodka or clr is supposed to get rid of calcium lime or rust.... purple power works good too

razor blade should take it off.

If the tank is up and running , I'd stay away from the harsh chems. Vinegar and a razor, if you can let the vinegar soak in; wet rag.

also can try lemon juice
all else fails
try 1000 grit sandpaper
wet sand it,real wet
try a small spot to make sure its not scratching
thats the only way i was able to get the stains off my 240

I use steel wool on glass. Get the FINE package (#0000) i think...
