Cleaning Media??

Well i just bought a FX5, so not sure if that mech filter before the Bio or not? Anyone?

I know my Eheim 2213 dosen't and i will run this in conjunction with the FX5

FX5's have lots of mech filtration before the bio. Mech is designed to collect all the gunk and crud from the tank, the bio is designed to break down wastes. If the bio gets dirty, doesnt work as well. FX5's have huge amounts of mech.

Excellent, my Eheim has the bio first and that gets pretty average so i'm glad to hear the FX5 is the other way around!
