lol wow unlucky kind of glad not been biten yet by my jags they have BIG sharp teeth! lol i was thinking of getting a RD and i think the next fish i ever by will be one .

I know what you mean. I have a pair of RD right now that have fry, and you can not even hardly walk by the tank with out the male hitting the glass. I have to clean it in the next few days and that will be interesting. Even when I feed them if my hand is near the water he about jumps out to try and bite me. Crazy fish! 
I am using plastic glove for colour hair when I am cleaning my akvarium. Fish bite dont pain as much.
I actually let my midas bite me. I wrestle with him when I feed him. I'll grab is nuchal hump with my finger and wrestle around with him and he bites me and I'll give him some food to occupy him. He doesn't bite all that hard unless I wrestle with him. I am teaching him tricks and everything now. I love him to death. RD's/Midas are great fish to have and you guy's have great specimens! Mines about 8-9 inches.
Mine does the same thing, but its because my 12" female just laid eggs. Trying to brush the tank and he just let me have it. I wasn't ready for the bite not paying attention to the fish and when it happened i jumped puching the male in the mouth. The female not so brave though, only will come after the brush. I was doing some tank cleaning today and i left for about 15 min. and my 6" male RD had beat the crap out of my 12" Female that had just laid eggs yesterday. I put my divider back in the tank with the male on the side with the eggs.
