White vinager instead of bleach and water. It will remove salt creep and algea and is not toxic.

Bleach is only chlorine like what is in the water that comes out of the tap and it will take care of anything that might be living in the tank and if I'm cleaning out a used tank I want some thing that will KILL the bad stuff not make salad dressing. :grinyes:

When you add you chlorine remover it will take care of the bleach. I allways add a little extra after I have used bleach.

A lot of them are in the house but I turned 3/4 of my garage into a fish room.

I hope to have a website up by the end of the weekend... I hope.

If you seriously want to disinfect a tak then like repair says, use bleach, vinegar works on most things, bleach works on everything. One thing though, READ the bottle, make sure to get NON-DETERGENT and UNSCENTED bleach, the other stuff contain lethal and persitant additives.

just read the labels. No name bleach products are what you want to look for. the generic brand that is.
