Unfourtunately i purchased play sand.

A lot of people use playsand. It's not the end of the world. It's just really dirty, and it's also pretty light in weight, so if it gets kicked up into any powerfilters you may have, it could mess up the impeller.

I just pillowcase all the time.

I actually chanced my play sand to Samoa pink aragonite this morning and took me 20mins to do 80lbs.
