Yeah I looked at the Amazon reviews and there were some pretty bad ones all complaining about the same thing. I'm going to try my hand at your idea using a 185 gph pump. But seriously, if you find yourself just bored and wanting to build something...I'll buy it.

In the mean time, did you try the smaller siphon on the python? That should get the debris and poops all the way up the tube and down the hose.

I'm actually setting up few more tanks right now cause I got bored, so I'm going to make one. I'll make a couple more if I can find some more power heads or pumps lol.

Well God mother f'ing dammit. I just bought all the stuff on Amazon to make one. I ended up going with this pump, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D5WH6FW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and then just some vinyl tubing and some ball valves that are designed to control water flow. Question on the ball valve, should I place it on the intake side of the pump or the output side? I'm guessing the intake. Again, I'm awful at DIY so if this doesn't work out I will still be wanting to buy one. Most likely I'll be looking to buy one.
