Hi MFK!
I want to ask a question which probably will sound stupid for some of you, but it's important for me to know - so, guys, how do you clean your tank of algae and other organic kelp if during the cleaning your 11-12 inches flowerhorn constantly try to bite you? Believe me it's not funny when a big flowerhorn with sharp teeth bites you.
I don't use magnets, 1st because my tank is with curved glasses and 2nd the magnets make a lot of scratches on the glass. Before I used a sponge and the tank was looking perfect. Any ideas?
I was thinking to use big thick gloves lol

get some cheap egg crate / light diffuser from a hardware store and build a temporary divider. section off part of the tank and do a little at a time. I did this with my Midas, as he hated when I put my hand in his tank

Mine is aggressive from the beginning but usually he was attacking the vacuum hose. Since a month his new target is the sponge and favourite target- my hand. Now it's even challenging to vacuum the gravel. I don't want he to tore a piece of flesh on my hand lol

Mine isnt nice by aby means but we have put our differences aside and have learned to deal with each other. Sometimes he even lets me pick him up...
