Cleaning the tank glass

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
There's probably a diy version somewhere like the toilet brush idea but there are brushes designed for aquariums with sponges and long handles so you don't have to put your hands into the water.

My Kamfa had major issues with me cleaning the glass......lol That wound was deep and it was inflamed and swollen for two weeks. I started using magnets after that.

Oh, the flowerhorns are magnificent fish but definitely they have problems with their behaviour lol
Your kamfa seems gorgeous and quite big, beautiful fish!

Dang dude. That looks like a five year old bit you! Lol.
These fish can be mean but that's part of what makes them fun!!!

Hello; Many years ago a common tool was a long plastic thing with a place on the end where a double edged razor blade was mounted. I used these for a few decades. With care they did a good job on glass. Never have had acrylic but I don't think they will work.

The device put the angle of the blade shallow enough to work well. The blades had to be taken care of as a flawed edge will put fine scratches in the glass, but I rarely got a scratch fro m them. It was the corners that tended to get tweaked.

I am not even sure the double edge blades are around. At least they are no longer common and I have not seen one of the holders in a long while.
