Cleansing container for aging water storage

My 55 gallon barrels were used for cornstarch. I cut half of the top off of each one and hosed them out super well. I must have spent 45 minutes hosing our each one. I never used anything else on them, didn’t even worry about bleach. They have been working well for me for over a year now.

That's awesome. This is my 1st round with project like this & want to keep it simple but still make it pretty cool. Maybe regular water wash probably most practical + safe bet.

If you search on line you can buy all manner of water storage tubs. I'm in the uk and i had no problem finding various brand new tubs, of all sizes, even the huge 1000 litre IBC. They're not exactly cheap but if it's peace of mind you want then that would be the way to go, if you can't find any used tubs that have had fish safe product in.
