first I would recommend a bigger tank for the paroon and the silver arowana but a red tail cat is a good cleaner upper. also depending on the size of the fish, cray fish would work well. If the fish are large they will eat the cray fish and you just buy get more. If the fish are small the cray fish might try to eat them.
and convict360 a Featherfin catfish? a paroon would eat that as soon as it could fit it in its mouth. cats are different then cichlids.

I plan on upgrading just a temp tank while they're just fry.

Perruno catfish get large enough, but not RTC large. My favorite large catfish is the Giant Raphael Catfish. They are great looking and have spiked armor that wouldn't make it a fun meal for anything. Closely followed by my 2nd favorite large catfish, the Lima Shovelnose Catfish.

Personally for me, i would definitely go for plecos, loaches,asian flagtail fish or pacus
