as the title says. I have sold and rehomed almost all of my stock. Not really because i wanted to, but with a move to a new house coming in a couple weeks, it was for the best.
After pondering how much easier the move would be with alot less tanks, i finally went ahead and did it.
I shut down 2-180gal,1-125,a 90, and a 110.
Leaving me with only two tanks and minimal stock. It sucks, but on the other hand, i have all the shutdown tanks other then the 110 (and a 125,but we will get to where that tank is later in this post) in storage unit for a later time.

the remaining stock:
Tank 1: my sons female labiatus in his bedroom, and two of the best colored growouts of hers that i added to her tank(with lots of hides for them to retreat to)
Tank 2:
Trace my butti, and a handfull of my synodontis cats.
This is a slight grenade waiting to go off potentially but it may work. I couldnt give up either the cats or the butti, so time will tell.

A little bonus that my wife doesnt know about is that my male f0 male jag went to my brothers house in one of the 125s till we get settled into the new house, then he comes back home lol. I promiced downsizing to two tanks.. Never said for how long though :p

Will you have more space in the new house for tanks?

Yea it has quite a bit of room. Just gotta ease back into it. Last time i moved i had several tanks going, and that took a couple days by itself. Im trying to eliminate the extra days involved in moving.

Happy to hear you held on to your favorite fish.
Yea it was a tough choice. When i sat down and thought about what to keep, 4 main fish stood out. My male jag, female butti, an all white amph, and bertha my old lutino oscar. Reason i went with trace(the butti) is because last time we changed houses it took her close to 6 mos to settle back in. Shes pretty sensitive when shes moved. My sister took my oscar, and my bro is holding my male jag. I went and checked on the jag today, hes already back to glass banging so im not worried a bit about him beeing stressed.

You have a sister and a brother who both keep fish? Lucky.

Yea i got them both hooked over the years. They both have multiple tanks going all the time also. My sister got hooked by a little saltwater tank i had years ago. She was obsessed with a snowflake eel i had, so i ended up giving the whole setup to her and it went from there. My bro is into more fragile stuff like discus and true parrot cichlids. He likes the challenge of battling with water chemistry apparently lol

I could get rid of the tanks themselves if I could get a much larger tank and have someone hold onto the fish while I'm moving.

I dont blame either one of them. Saltwater is a whole new field if you're a freshwater only person and those delicate fish pose a fun challenge for some.
