Cleared out almost all my tanks

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I dunno if I could do that, it would kill me to get rid of some of my fish as well as my bigger tanks. But with that said I can totally understand why you did. Trying to move with big tanks has got to be a real pain.
Yea it wasnt easy bringing myself to actually rehome them and break the tanks down. But life will go on. Wierdest part was that it almost bothered me as bad that i had to kill all my cycled media from all the tanks. Other then what i could stuff into the 4 canisters i kept running. You know how it is, good stash of BB is like gold in this hobby lol

I dont blame either one of them. Saltwater is a whole new field if you're a freshwater only person and those delicate fish pose a fun challenge for some.
Saltwater is fun. And deff make for gorgeous display tanks if maintained correctly. Reason i got out of salt was just the mess of the salt build up on the lids and back of the tank. It use to drive me crazy. As far as the real delicate fish go, idk if i would ever enjoy that. Ive never kept any fish that couldnt thrive in my water the way it comes out of the tap as far as ph and hardness. Once you start battling with that stuff every water change or top off, its too much

I hate moving. I did the same thing last time i moved. took me yrs to get back up and running. was just the way life went at the time for me. good luck with the move. when is the move?

Lucky you sold some. I had to move as house (not tanks) was leaking.
Old tanks too big to go into new house and mover was asking US$900 to move three tanks.
In Taiwan, second hand tank/equipment sales are not a big business as new ones can be found cheap and everywhere.
I had to give away the tanks to save myself US$500 for a scrapper to take them away.

Will be starting of new in the new place with smaller tanks but something different. Going in a new direction which is exciting.
Did save a 75gal.

What will you do in the new place?
