before the video..

she grabbed him by the neck and spit on him while he was driving. She also had 3 stops to find her money but hadn't so the bus driver told her she had to get off and thats how things started to get real. guy should uppercut her again.
 
Any person under the constitution can use reasonable force to defend him or herself from any type of attack. If he wasn't the aggressor, he could use REASONABLE force to defend him/herself. Although it depends on the totality of the circumstances, he has the right to react that way. It may seem farfetch especially a man vs a girl, he could have immunity for his action but society might not protect his actions. I personally believe his action was extreme and definitely could have handled it better. Man but that was a good blow.
