It would probaly take u a good 200-300 dollers to get a 150 up in running.that goes for subtrate, filters, heater, lighting and fish.

120 gallon tank, hood, lights, and stand for 240 bucks. Substrate and plants 50 bucks. Filtration-priceless.

guys are these used prices???? I have never seen a 120 gallon tank with hoods, lights and stand for $240 brand new. In canada you would spend $240 at least just for the 120 gallon tank. How much cheaper are tanks in the US big als compared to the Canadian ones. I could always drive across the next time I buy a tank

depends if your willing to but cheap equipment or not, and it also depends where you shop, took me about 900 for mine, but its an awesome tank

i would say if everything is new 400 to 800 for tank, stand ,lights and hood about another 150 to 250 for filters and heaters and maybe about another 75 to 100 to decorate

I agree with the last two. My 125 cost me about 800-900 for everything. I built my own stand that cost me about 200 coulda went cheaper on it but it looks great. The first people have to be talking about used prices.

I just paid $200 for a used 120 gallon with glass tops and a stand. Only thing it is black, so I've spent an additional 100 bucks making the stand oak and I still have yet to put the doors on it.

I generally don't keep tract of what I spend on this hobby but depending on what equip you get. Your still looking at least 500 bucks.

Shouldn't be hard to research cost for new. Main items needed. Tank, light, filter, stand, heater(optional), glass tops(optional). As for what goes in the tank well that could cost anywhere from $20 to thousands of dollars but that is up to the individual.

Of course then you run into what it cost to maintain monthly.
