Well that is the argument. The natural balance between CO2 release and absorption has been overloaded by powering our many machines.
Whether a slightly warmer planet is desirable or not is another question...

The placement of the earth relative to the sun definitely hasn't changed in the last two centuries, and measurements of solar energy output show us that solar irradiance is declining. The chart of falling and rising solar irradiance and falling and rising global temperature match almost perfectly... except for the last 200 years or so. So what gives?
didn't we just find out that the earth is slowing down? if you slow it down, it gets warmer? makes sense to me.
