Climate cooling strikes again

Climate cooling? Ah, I see, an attempt to discredit the data behind climate change by coming up with a catchy retort that assimilated a distorted combination of both "climate change" and "global warming."

The first thing they teach you in an entry-level Meteorology class is that climate is not weather, and therefore you cannot look out of your window to determine whether or not the global climate is changing, or not. But, if I remember correctly from the last thread, you almost never really know what you're talking about when it comes to scientific theories and the evidence to support them.

And apparently, it's no difference for climate change. Surprise, surprise.

Man made global change does not exist. Period. No conclusive evidence of its existance.

The question I guess should be is who in North America is not affected by these snowstorms?

It's 34 right now (the high point of the day) here in central Texas. It's suppose to get down below 18 with a wind chill less then 10. This would be the coldest it's been here in the last 32 years(maybe longer).

It's also the first time I've ever experienced this type of weather here in south Texas... I don't like it!!

:( I remember back 15 years ago it used to be in the 80s all the time during winter... those days are long gone.

:werd:

This winter was predicted to be a "warmer winter" here, but it has been one of the coldest winters I can remember. I can't remember the last time it was more than 10 below... But it was last month

Yup, we're suppose to be seeing the snow/blizzard conditions hit Toronto, Canada around midnight tonight with 2-3cm falling each hour for most of Wednesday...20-30cm by the end of the storm...staying home to work and watch the white stuff!

You are making two errors, one in interpretation, and another which is a logical fallacy.

Firstly, I never once referred to anthropogenic global warming. Do I think it IS anthropogenic? Absolutely. But I just referred to climate change, period. Whether or not it is anthropogenic is still to be decided, although to say that there is no conclusive evidence is completely incorrect.

Second, the fallacy you've committed is known as an argument from ignorance. You clearly state, "no conclusive evidence of its existence," but how does that lead to "man made global change does not exist."? Because there is no evidence of something, it does not exist? So black holes didn't exist until Albert Einstein finished his General Theory of Relativity? Unless you're some omipresent omnipotent demi-god, you cannot claim something does not exist, it is impossible to prove a negative, and therefore negative claims should not be made.

Why are you hijacking this thread with you political agenda? I thought this was frowned upon here?
