Climate cooling strikes again

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I see you have moved to stage 2 of the 'truth in science'
1) deny
2) admit but say it is a small thing
3) admit and say you never said otherwise
:)

Are you also saying that nothing man does can have an effect?
If so you are in direct conflict with the laws of physics, especially the laws of thermodynamics.
" when you add energy to a system you create chaos"

i've stated the FACTS prior. as for the scientific discussion there is nothing either of us can provide more for either side.

However I think its poor practice that i've had to choose a side. Until its considered common knowledge by the scientific community there is no logical reason to defend my belief as its currently supported by every other method of testing we have.

Until there is proof we caused global warming, there is no proof.

Not to mention that we have sustainable lumber mills that replant trees, more money then ever is being put into RandD on renewable energy (even if it wastes energy creating them the idea is right)

Remember, We didn't wake up one day with cars...we started off some where pretty crappy in respect to technology. Over the next 100 years the impact we had today will be marginal compared to what we've come up with to prevent it.

Are you implying that there is no consensus? Because that'd be wrong. A survey a few years back identified over 700 papers in the last 10 years supporting anthropogenic climate change. It is absolutely "common knowledge." There is consensus.

And I still don't understand how the laws of conservation of energy come into this.

Andy: what happens when you burn coal ( or other carbon based fossil fuels) ?

you produce:
heat
Sulfur dioxide (SO2), which has been linked to acid rain and increased incidence of respiratory illnesses
Nitrogen oxides (NOx), which have been linked to the formation of acid rain and photochemical smog
Particulates, which have been linked to the formation of acid rain and increased incidence of respiratory illnesses
Carbon dioxide (CO2), which is the primary greenhouse gas emission from energy use.
Mercury, which has been linked with both neurological and developmental damage in humans and other animals. Mercury concentrations in the air usually are low and of little direct concern. However, when mercury enters water — either directly or through deposition from the air — biological processes transform it into methylmercury, a highly toxic chemical that accumulates in fish and the animals (including humans) that eat fish.

We burn about 7 Billion tons of coal per year

Too bad al gore,is out hunting manbearpig. We could use his help with this conundrum.

But manbearpig is a major problem atm so he is busy. Im super cereal.

Finally it warmed up above freezing. We still have snow on ground and they are saying it will get below freezing every night for the next 6 days
