Climbing Perch

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i really want some of these guys some has to know how i can

so no one here has kept Anabas testudineus

I have had experience with this fish- really easy keeper- can be kept with med-lg SA and CA cichlids/ that sort of community tank

they are not legal in Florida, and probably any other warm climate ( La, Ms, etc.) You could find out easily by checking out the Fish and Wildlife site

thanks

well, if u have the time to go overseas and the papers to bring em back.....u can go to bangkok or almost any other asian country

yes. they are very common in south/south-east asian countries. i used to keep some before. i'd get them in bags of mixed wild-caught feeders. very easy to keep anabantid but quite aggressive/pugnacious, and good escape artists.

you know what tanker.. i get my fish... ill send you a special fish "special ordered" from my lfs:D

I have kept two kinds grey with small black spots and a light pink colored perch. Their is also albino perches. The one's i had like to chase around the other fish nipping at them, they
eat everything like little pigs. They are great at geting out of well covered tanks. I had to destroy them because they got tb from eating raw shrimp. I boil all frozen food in water now, i take no chances.:)

youve got to be one of his friends becuase of that avatar.. so i guess i wont flame you for that;)
