Clone crawdad?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Marbled Crayfish are real. I don't know if clone is the right word. I think of them more as A-sexual but I haven't read enough about them to say. This guy is posting on CL is every state. I'd like to get some but once overnight shipping is add it's not worth it (he's in Texas).

Some British rivers are having non-native intrusion issues with Marbled Crayfish. I wanted to raise them for feeders and fishing but after reading about Britians problem I wont use them for fishing.

I told the guy advertising that I wasn't ready and that I needed to set tanks up and get them cycled. He said they don't need cycled tanks and that tap water is fine. He said they carry their own BB (followed by, buy now before our Setember special ends, only a few days left). It really turned me off to buying from him. It sounded more like a shaddy used car salesman then someone concerned with the aniamal. When I'm ready, I'll look for other sources before buying from him.

yeah i owned them for a while but they take over any tank you put them in real fast (that is unless you keep them in a tank full or large fish that will eat them) They will eat fish if they can catch them, and 1 turns into 100, those 100 turn into 1000s i got sick of them and fed them to the rest of my fish. (allthough i wish i kept one)
