Update....

the rays are doing well as well as the single green chromis that has lived through everything.

scorpion fish died Sunday morning-its eyes had been cloudy for several days, was breathing heavy and had stopped eating.

the vlamingi tang that has been in for over 1 week and was doing well appeared to have a parasite on it's eye...I spoke w/several local hobbyists and they all suggested to treat tank with prozipro-

I did a freshwater dip, and have treated the tank with prozipro. The tang's eyes are clear this morning. Have not fed but will do a little later today to see if she is eating again.

Here is my plan going forward:

Will treat the tank for 7 days with prozipro, do water change and run carbon, will treat again for another 7 days.

Will set up a QT tank for all new fish.

Will NOT be adding another fish until finished with the prozipro treatement.

Now that I have had a chance to step back and review what happened, here is my diagnosis - I am OPEN for other ideas if any one has them:

The achilles tang that was one of the initial fish did have an eye infection that the lfs I bought said it was an eye injury and not a parasite...dumb me, I should have known better-last time I let my son talk me into a specific fish...

The achilles had a parasite-I am leaning towards flukes from what I have been able to read/input from others. The parasites attached the other fish as many had very similar symptoms: cloudy eyes, labored breathing, stopped eating...

Combine this with me adding too many fish way too fast...put unnecessary stress on the fish...

Thanks to everyone for taking time to offer help.
