somewhere close to you...
I just did a water change to my tank and this morning I noticed the water was cloudy. It wasn't too bad but its noticeable....

I did everything like a I normally do, but when it came to filling up my tank I used my hose for a portion of the fill up, and then finished off with the water from my sink...

I tested the hose water for PH and ammonia levels and everything checked out...

any advice on how to fix the issue?

you never noticed your tank is always a little cloudy after your water changes? you can just wait for couple hours and it'll settle by itself

More than likely a mini cycle effect - could be due to variations in temperature between the tank water and new water. I've seen this quite a bit with newer (less than 6mo.running) tank setups.

Very well could be a mini-cycle or a bacteria bloom, depending upon how much water you removed and how established your bacteria is. Either way, dont worry, it will clear up in time. Keep checking your parameters. If it is a bloom it may take several days.

just let the filter do its job and if you did a correct water change and added water conditioner your tank will be crystal clear in no time i have a 180 with 12 red bellied piranhas and every time i do a water change the water will appear clowdy for about a half hour then i have a crystal clear tank

it sounds like a mini cycle or bacteria bloom. i know you said you tested the water from the hose, but did you check the ammonia parameters in the tank as well? i would test the tank water and keep an eye to make sure it balances out over the next day or so

It's not a mini-clycle or bacterial bloom, water changes do not affect bacterial colonies they do not live free floating in the water they live on surfaces (mainly in your filter)

what has probably happend is there was an unusualy large amount of dissolved gasses in the water from your tap and this forms microbubbles in the water which are bubbles of air so tiny they appear to cloud the water don't worry this will go away in a few hours at most.

Why does it always seem that no one in the piranha section seems to have any understanding of of concepts established as fact in the "setup and filtration section" years ago ? No offence to anyone it's just an observation.

I guess some people just automatically associate cloudy water after water change to mini cycle. its not impossible if larger amount of untreated water enter filter then the bio media could take a hit; even then you won't see cloudiness right away, usually next day or so unless you already have good amount of ammonia in the tank.

I agree with Zander Ive had this happen to me as well the water going into the tank is warmer than the water in the tank which releases the gases
