This tank has been setup for three months now. It had been clear up for a week or two on the third week of the first month then after it went back to cloudy again. I am wondering is there a leaching from the driftwoods or the Seachem flourite since I dont have any plants so the nutrient came out from it? I am not sure and I hope somebody can tell me what is going on?

Looks to be bacterial bloom from maybe a mini cycle or some extra nutrients. Seachem flourite can also do the same if not thoroughly rinsed off. Even after rinsing it can cloud up the water.

Would check ur water parameters and keep the water changes going. It’ll clear up eventually.

I did a tons of water change already. I check the parameters also the ammonia is 1, nitrite 0.

Yep, if you have a seasoned sponge filter or media (like bio balls or the ceramic bits), transplant some from your established tank to this one.

I agree with the others, it looks like a new tank that hasn't finished its cycle.

I dont have any other established bio media that can be transfer. So what is the problem with my tank is the substrates or still cycling?

probably both. the substrate is nutrient rich for plant life with no plants. the tank has minimal beneficial bacteria to hold a cycle yet. = nutrient bloom. do u have any seachem prime?? it will help with the fish tolerating a little ammonia I believe.where bouts in the gta are you?? if u can get to finatics aquariums on Dixie rd just north of the 401, he runs an excellent store with impecceble tanks and water quality. take a pail in and he will squeeze a few sponge filters in it for you and dump it in ur filter help quick start it cycling. I know a lot of stores you wouldn't take a risk of polluting ur tank with their water but mike is an exception to that rule. great guy and runs a great store
