cloudy tank?

Awe, you always got to measure and leave froom for HOB!! Oh well! I normally leave 3-4 inches, but it doesnt look as good as being close to the wall...

what are you feeding?
I noticed my tank would get clowdy when i used hikari sinking pellets

It has been my experience that water becomes cloudy when the concentration of one or more contaminants increase to a level which is sufficient to cause a bacterial bloom...no more, no less. In most cases, you will never know what precisely has occurred. It has also been my experience that your filtration system will probably not be able to remove the cloudiness. Just keep performing your routine water changes until this contaminant is consumed by the bacteria and/or sufficiently diluted and the cloudiness will disappear.

Hmm I've been feeding all sorts of frozen food: brine shrimp, beef heart, clams, krill, cichlid pellets, flakes, market shrimp and nightcrawlers. For the past 2 days I did a 1/3 waterchange each day. I'm gonna wait a couple of days before I do another because I don't want to change to much water at a time. Maybe wednesday I'll do another? How long do you think it will take before the tank clears back up? thanks again.

Alright tank was still cloudy today, I tested the water again and everything was fine. So I did another 1/3 waterchange.
