Cloudy tank??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Try using some polywool it will catch the fine particals it worked for me when I set up my 45 gal and 60 gal

just do some water changes and keep eye on water parameters. it takes 4 to 6 weeks sometimes longer to fully cycle a tank even with a fishy cycle.

2-3 drops per gallon and stuff filter floss in your filters.
clear water in under an hour!

interesting, where can i get some of this stuff.
i have a 10gal quarantine tank which i left for over a month with no filter, and i just added a bunch of feeders in yesterday, and the tank clouded up overnight.

@!(#*!#(* Chemicals are not the way to 'clear up cloudy water'!!!

Haven't you guys read up on Nitrogen cycle? Before you go out and purchase Arowanas and Bichirs, or load your 10g up with Feeders, don't you think it would be a good idea to read up a little bit before you sentance your fish to death? I mean really, you drop all this money on a huge tank and expensive fish, and can't contain yourself long enough to take the proper steps to success? I would take all the advice given about THE NITROGEN CYCLE, and apply it. Anything that has to do with cure-all quickfix chemicals is BS.

"Just a few drops and some filter floss" will NOT cure your problem. It's like spraying air freshener in a room full of fecal matter.

Ive always waited atleast a week on my tanks (a week with an establisded filter hooked up to it), it should get cloudy then clear up. youd be better off if you put the feeders in the bigger tank before buying the expensive fish to. I typically use feeders to help jump start a cycle in a Large tank.

Just wait an the tank should clear up some, leave the light off most of the day (dont want to spark a Algae bloom), after say 7 days you should be ok.
