When you say silver tip sharks I am guessing that you are talking about bala catfish (silver guys with small black whiskers) first of all you should be getting a larger tank sometime soon as they are capable of getting close to 2 ft. and actually are considered a brackish water species... if this is not the fish you have just disregard the info given... second of all try only using feeders as a treat once a week or so and see if that helps and also do a large water change and feed once a day. yes your oscars will eat twice a day and that does not necessarily mean that they need to because my oscar at 14" will eat 10-12 times a day... second of all if you have a spare canister buy some diatom powder and let that run for a couple of hours and it will make your tank crystal clear guaranteed but that is not a permanent fix you still need to isolate the cause of the cloudy water...OscarHook said:Well its my 55 with 2 Oscars, 2 silver tip sharks, and 1 Sailfin Pleco. Used regular aquarium gravel and feed them twice a day, morning and night, fish are all fairly small right now, my Signature has specific lenghts and i have never had this problem, and have had fish tanks for about 12 years now so i am not new to fishkeeping at all. I do regular water changes every 5-6 days of about 20%. Could there be something in my water that just keeps it cloudy? I feed live feeders and sinking pellets to all fish so i could be over feeding them, but by the looks of it when they eat its like i dont feed enough!
