What do i do? All 3 of my tanks have cloudy water, and have been setup for atleast 2 months. So what could be the problem? Plz help me out, my friends.

what sort of substrate do you have?
is their anything in the tank now?
Was it coudy when you filled it or did it get cloudy over time?

change the water.

most likely you are feeding too much... are you new to fishkeeping? what type of fish are in your tanks what kind of food... we can not help without some info

Well its my 55 with 2 Oscars, 2 silver tip sharks, and 1 Sailfin Pleco. Used regular aquarium gravel and feed them twice a day, morning and night, fish are all fairly small right now, my Signature has specific lenghts and i have never had this problem, and have had fish tanks for about 12 years now so i am not new to fishkeeping at all. I do regular water changes every 5-6 days of about 20%. Could there be something in my water that just keeps it cloudy? I feed live feeders and sinking pellets to all fish so i could be over feeding them, but by the looks of it when they eat its like i dont feed enough!

You might have a bacterial Bloom. In that case you can reduce the amount you are feeding, and the cloudiness should go away on its own in a couple weeks. You could also think about adding some more bio filter media to your filter to encourage more nitrogen fixing bacteria in your filter rather then your tank.

You are really into Greek Mythology arn't you?

When you say silver tip sharks I am guessing that you are talking about bala catfish (silver guys with small black whiskers) first of all you should be getting a larger tank sometime soon as they are capable of getting close to 2 ft. and actually are considered a brackish water species... if this is not the fish you have just disregard the info given... second of all try only using feeders as a treat once a week or so and see if that helps and also do a large water change and feed once a day. yes your oscars will eat twice a day and that does not necessarily mean that they need to because my oscar at 14" will eat 10-12 times a day... second of all if you have a spare canister buy some diatom powder and let that run for a couple of hours and it will make your tank crystal clear guaranteed but that is not a permanent fix you still need to isolate the cause of the cloudy water...

Howdy,

do not feed your fish for two weeks. This is not a problem at all for healthy fish! Change a quarter of your tank water twice a week during these two weeks. You should see improvement after that time. Once the two weeks are over, reduce the feeding to prevent it from happening again. Also, as stated, make sure you have sufficient biological filtration for your tank. That seems to be a weak spot in your case.

Good luck,
