I have never used it, but from what I have read of the reviews Fluval Bio Clear does work well in most cases. Sometimes it may take 3 days.

When I have a problem with that, I use Seachem Purigen or my Odysea skimmer.

Well, you're quite the hobbyist aren't you? This isn't really a site where you want to come out with a flippant "well I don't really care about them to be honest" remark, especially about clown loaches, a very popular and much loved fish on this forum. You're also ignorant enough not to know that clown loaches have a subocular spine under their eyes. They raise it when threatened and when that arowana tries to eat one, and it will, then it may very well choke to death when the clown loaches spines get caught up in its throat.

Or don't you care about your arowana either!
