Cloudy Water Help needed.

Rinse your sponge filters and put some carbon in the AC. You will be amazed at the black crud that comes out of those sponges.

You might also rinse the AC media in some tank water from your water change.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am amazed at how much the water change has helped clear the water though. Still no where near crispy crystal clear that it was three days ago, but not that bad at all.

Same tank next day:

I am not 100% positive that in proves that the 1 oz of one week old california blackworms was the cause. One thing that I am certain of and am pee'd as a wet hen at myself. It ($1.49) was not worth the trouble and stress that I put on myself the last two days.

Even if this is not the case, don't be a retarded tight wad like myself. Do yourself a favor and heed the advice of those saying that blackworms should be rinsed daily. If you forget a day or two it may still be OK, but if you forget to rinse them for longer than that save yourself the hassle and just discard the things!

Hi,

I've been feeding blackworms for well over a year and have had no issues. I get a new batch every two weeks. I try to rinse daily, but sometimes it ends up being 2 days, but never more than 3.

I am too lazy to clean blackworms daily. I too have gotten away with 2-3 day rinse cycles. Again no guarantee, but in my mind, it would have been prudent to just discard the 1oz of blackworms ($1.49) that I found in the fridge after a week rather being too cheap to let them go to waste! Heck, they had ALREADY GONE TOO WASTE!
