Cloudy water in tank

I did my normal weekly water change and for the past couple days the entire tank is filled with this white haze, and very cloudy... there is nothing different with the water, and this is the first time its happened? the tank is usually crystal clear...any reasons why this might happen?

Whats your stock? How big is the tank? Could be a bacteria bloom.

Most properly you have a bacteria boom, have you change your filter wool?

i actually just cleaned the filters, put new cartridges in...the tank is 125 gallons, have 2 pbass in there (9 in and 7 in), 2 datnoids (4 and 5 in), and a bichir (6 in)...

stop feeding, and continue your daily water changes.

should clear within a week.

25% daily until it's cleared, worked for me before.

Yea I had this problem about a month ago. I talked to the guy at the lfs and he said it was caused by my vacuuming gravel and changing the filter cartridge at the same time. he told me in a couple of days it would go away and it did.

stop feeding and upgrade your filter system

I've never had this happen to me from vacuuming my tank and rinsing my filters, or swapping a cartridge filter. I vacuum once a week and do 25% wc at same time, doing this weekly it's great how little crap I pull from my tank.

so what you running for filters and on what size of tank? with what kind of stock?
