A UV sterilizer would do the trick. Thats definitely an algae bloom. I had one and used an algae killer but it caused a spike in my ammonia levels, but it cleared up the green. I'm interested in trying purigen... I read good reviews about it.

So I went to Petsmart to get some Purigen, but they didn't carry it, so I got one of their UV sterilizers and set it up earlier today

I got the 9 watt one because that's all they had and I'm doing other things to help clear the water up, so the 24 watt one is overkill
