Cloudy water w/ new tank setup HELP!

this has been a great cycling learning experience...
 
just did a 25% water change, took out some old media from the ac110 (sponge and biomax) and stuck it right on top of the drip plate, and added some seachem stability... phew!

You are probably experiencing a bacterial bloom. Which is a cycling issue. I have used bio spira before when cycling tanks with excellent results. Now i tranfer filter media to 1 of the filters on the new tank all if possible. This is cloning a tank and I have had no problems at all.

that's exactly what it is.. been reading up about "new tank syndrome" all day today.

gatta love this forum, comes through once again. i could've been stuck settin up new tanks incorrectly, stressing fish and what not...

now its just a waiting game till the "cloud" dies down.

Everyone makes mistakes. I have made some hum dingers. The great thing about this site is a resource to help you fix the mistake and offer you ways not to make them again.
