Cloudy water?

Pour some water into a white container and see if it looks green or clear. If it's green then it's an algae bloom, if it's clear looking, then it's a bacterial bloom. These can happen in cycled tanks as well if you change your filter media too often or you over clean your tank.

Ive heard of guys feeding there fish earthworms that have glow-in-the-dark stuff on/in them and that it turned their tanks aweful green for days...seriously.
That UV sterilizer will work a miracle, you'll see.
BTW, cant hurt with the water changes either, maybe additional filtration with a "seasoned" filter(media).

I love my new UV steriliser. It turned my murky green pea soupa into crystal clear water in just one week. I can finally open the curtains again.
