I read that this is a nod to the movie poster from Escape from New York, but yeah, how would a whale knock off just the head ? Don't people believe in REALISM in movies anymore??
I have also read online that it is more of a crab or squid with multiple arms than a whale?? I don't think I would mind the whale if it looks cool, at the very least I think that it is a very creative idea, barnacles coming off are cool and it could probably blow the crap out of buildings with High pressure water blasts, plus you have the environmental side of it with Blue whales being endangered, some type of Earth friendly lesson is usually thrown into giant monster movies???. Blue Whales are supposed to be the Largest animals EVER on Earth. Is it really that bad of an idea to wonder what would happen if one of those suckers got Radiated,Pissed-off and could walk? I used to REALLY love Godzilla movies and yes, I do realize that they are crappy. Unfortunately all I can say is no matter how cool the idea sounds, don't get your hopes up too high for a "giant-monster-destroys-the city-movie" and then if it doesn't deliver just throw it on the pile with Tri-star's Godzilla. I will say this, the hype being generated for this movie has gotten to me a little and I am really curious to see what the monster will actually be! They have done a good job of keeping the creature a secret, all of this is cool, but still reminds me of 1998's US version of Godzilla? Personally , I am excited and will be keeping my fingers crossed for a good movie. ( just for the record I did kinda like the US godzilla, blasphemy I know!)
