clown knife and water hardness

I need to do a water change on my 125. I have really hard water and i usually just fill up like 40 gallons of water from my freinds house (his water is much softer then mine) I havent been able to get to my freinds house to get the softer water i use in my tanks this week for my weekly water change and was wondering if the increase in the hardnesss of water would be ok for my clown knife, the hardness my water i get out of my faucette is over 300ppm and the softer water is considerably less( the ph of both are 7.2)

Do a smaller water change....as long as chnages are not sudden, no problem should occur.

I think it should be fine. How big is your CK? They get pretty tough with size and anything 8"+ should be okay.

my clowns about 10 inches, so like 10 percent water changes every other day?

You can get away with 25% every 3 days.
