a month ago i drained my pond to net out my knives, my gar, and my pike. i pulled out everything but my clown knife i thought it had died. i left my pacu in until now and i drained my pond again to pull out the pacu, when the water level got below the lip of the pot holding some of my lilly pad roots low and behold my clown knife laying there. i took a look at the thermometer and my water temp was 61 degrees. this has got to be a record or something, or are these guys just that hardy? pics to come once he adjusts to the 55.

they live in florida waters, and it gets pretty cold here. but thats amazing to live in a pond at 51*

A long time ago, my Mom decide to through most of my fish into the pond including the CK. When late fall rolled around, I was trying to net everyone out. I found my CK floating when the water was between 62F-65F. :(

Why would she throw your CK in a pond?

She wanted to see how the house would be without an aquarium...Mom doesn't know much about fish. One of those people that think all that they need is water. My Dad and me, just figured let her have her peace until fall.

It's only 5in. I'll put pictures up as soon as I get new batteries for the camera.

Ya last year i had my ck in my pond and it overwintered the first year and then i guess it died of cold the next year. temperature wasnt that cold (winter time in so cal) sucks cus that was my favorite fish
