clown knife markings??

im not sure what happend to my new clown knife it was fine for weeks it been eating bloodworms, tropical fish flakes, and cichlid pellets all my params are

ammonia-0
nitrites-0
nitrates-20ppm
ph-7.0

i do water changes once a week at 30% water is crystal clear but basically when i got him his markings were great but a few days ago they started to get really messed up now his rings are gone he is completely silver with black blotches all over his body he looks very ugly i will post pics in one minute

Can't really see anything in the second picture. It's too blurry. But I can see what you mean by the spots changing.

Knife Fish can be territorial against each other. The African Knife might've done a number on the CK, but that would be weird cuz they're pretty mellow. Does he look like he's been fighting or maybe rubbing against anything sharp in the tank? He might have a parasite issue.

no it doesnt seem like hes fighting these 2 have no problem sitting or swimming side by side all day and he eats great hes a very eager eater i dont know it could be a parasite but itd weird this just happend
