clown knife markings??

Definitely looks like a parasite issue to me. Possibly ich? Does it have small amounts of slime coating dangling here and there? I would seperate the guy and try treating it for ich or look up possible parasitic issues knifes are succeptable to.
Also, If the hiding place he preferes is a little small for it, could possibly be rubbage which can scar the skin tissue pretty easily over a short amount if time. Hope this can help and hope it gets better.
Oh btw if you have a very fine sandy substrate, soetimes the sand simply coats the fish for some reason. It happens at time when I do water changes. With the new tank I would refrain from a sunstrate and just use some rocks to make a large hiding place. Thats it. Then see if it gets better.

dude lol no there is nothing wrong with him now he just needed more room he was stressed i already said hes getting better now lol his markings are actually looking way better and he even has some extra rings
