I got this pretty nice clown knife recently and I didn't see him eat so far. I am getting a little nervous because he is a great looking clown. He is about 3 inches long and has 7 spots on one side and 5 on the other.

Here are some pics (Its pretty hard to take pics of him as most come out blurry)

give him some time, and offer bloodworms, mysis shrimp etc... they sometimes take around a week to start eating.

So far, i tried frozen brine shrimp, frozen bloddworms, cichlid pellets, beefheart, and algae wafers. I do hope he starts eating though cuz I'm gettig a bigger tank next week

They are nocturnal so feed him during lights out. If you want to make sure it's eating, use a flashlight with something covering it so it's not so bright so you can view it. I hear that fish can't decet red light (don't know if that's true or not) so maybe cover the light with something red.

Mine was very very thin when I first got him. I tried super night crawlers (which was recommended), but mine does not like worms, as it turns out. He just killed it and spat it out. Mine eventually came around with live full grown artemia and when he gained strength he enjoyed his guppies and minnows.

Still no success. Usually my ck hides in the plants but when he doesn't, as soon as I throw in some food, he goes back to the plants. But I guess i'll keep trying. I also tried rosy-reds a few days ago but he didn't eat them either. My oscar ended up eating them up.

I think you should try guppies. Only for the fact that it's so small still. Dump them in after you turn the lights off at night, that way it has the upper hand over the oscar. You will definitely know if it ate or not cause it will have the "belly bulge"
